Sept. 30, 2013

Due to TxDOT construction, there will be no thru traffic on Sun Bowl Drive for each of UTEP's remaining three football games. Athletics officials announced parking and traffic flow updates on Monday.

Patrons parking in the South Sun Bowl lots (S3, S4, S6, parking garage, P5, P7) can gain access by exiting Schuster Avenue from I-10. All fans parking in the south lots will be asked to use the designated pedestrian routes through Miner Alley (behind the Sun Bowl Parking Garage) to enter the stadium.

Patrons parking in the North Sun Bowl lots (P8, P9, P10, P11, P12, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, S5) can gain access by exiting Executive or Mesa Street from I-10. Sun Bowl Drive will be open from the south for North Sun Bowl parking, but will be closed off for thru traffic in that direction at Glory Road. There will be limited Sun Bowl Drive access to the R2 and R3 lots off of Mesa Street.

We encourage RVs to access R5 via Mesa Street to Sun Bowl Drive only. Please remember the RV lot is sold out.

For the safety of all patrons, there will be no pedestrian traffic on Sun Bowl Drive between Glory Road and the parking garage next to the UTEP Bookstore.

In addition, please remember that the South Shuttle from Schuster Avenue is available for the rest of the season.

UTEP hosts La Tech on Homecoming Saturday with an early kickoff of 5:30 p.m. MT.
