UTEP Football Camps to Kick Off Saturday in El Paso

The popular UTEP Football Summer Camps will make their 2011 debut this weekend with the El Paso One Day Skills Camp and the El Paso 7 on 7 Tournament.

The one day skills camp is slated for a 3 p.m. start (2 p.m. check-in) on Saturday in the Sun Bowl. The 7 on 7 Tournament will take place throughout the day Sunday, beginning with an 11 a.m. check-in and ending with the championship game in the Sun Bowl at 8 p.m. Earlier games in the day will be played at four separate venues -- the Sun Bowl, Glory Field and University Field on the UTEP campus, and Coronado High School.

The skills camp is open to all high school juniors and seniors to be. The 7 on 7 Tournament is open to all high school football teams, ninth grade to seniors to be.

The UTEP Football Summer Camps will spread far and wide across the state of Texas beginning on June 11 at Arlington Lamar High School. Other sites include Berkner High School in North Dallas (June 12), Cedar Hill High School in South Dallas (June 13), Friendswood High School in South Houston (June 15), Woodforest Bank Stadium in North Houston (June 16), Jack Rhodes Stadium in West Houston (June 17), Kelly Reeves Stadium in Austin (June 18) and Heroes Stadium in San Antonio (June 19).
