UTEP Takes on Big 12 Oppenent Texas Tech

UTEP (1-0) christens the home portion of its 2014 schedule versus Big 12 power Texas Tech (1-0) on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 9:05 p.m. MT.

2007 SPRING NOTES: Posted big numbers in four scrimmages, rushing 42 times for 258 yards (6.1 avg.) with four TDs and catching six passes for 68 yards ... ran for 89 yards on 10 carries in the second scrimmage of the season ... compiled 69 yards on 10 carries, including a pair of short scoring runs, in the final scrimmage ... will start at tailback in 2007.

2006 (JUNIOR): Led UTEP in rushing, compiling 513 yards on 156 carries (3.3 avg.) with five touchdowns ... second on the team in catches (39), totaling 242 yards (6.2 avg.) and a score ... played in 11 games, making 10 starts ... completed his lone pass attempt of the season against SMU ... his 27-yard throw to Daniel Robinson gave the Miners a 24-21 win over the Mustangs ... rushed for a season-high 81 yards on 18 attempts (4.5 avg.) and a TD versus New Mexico State ... had 79 yards rushing (16 carries) against Tulane, and 77 yards rushing (11 carries) versus Rice ... averaged a season-high 7.0 yards per attempt against the Owls ... also caught four passes for 74 yards with a score versus Rice, giving him 151 all-purpose yards in that game ... rushed for two touchdowns at Houston ... season-high six receptions came versus Texas Tech.

2004 (FRESHMAN): Played in 10 games as a true freshman ... cranked out 145 yards on 37 carries (3.9 avg.) ... reeled in three passes for seven yards ... season-high 37 yards on six carries (6.2 avg.) at San Jose State ... rambled a season-best nine times for 32 yards against New Mexico State ... had seven carries for 29 yards with a season-long run of 18 yards in the opener at Arizona State ... also caught two passes for five yards at Arizona State.
