Running Game Shines in Scrimmage

UTEP's running backs covered 251 yards and scored five times in the Miners' second scrimmage of the fall on Saturday in the Sun Bowl.

2013 (JUNIOR): Saw action in nine contests ... tallied two tackles on special teams ... both tackles were solo stops against LA Tech.

2012 (JUNIOR): Played in one game (versus Houston).

PRIOR TO UTEP: Transferred from El Camino College ... recognized as an All-Conference and All-State performer, in addition to being appointed the team's special teams player of the year in 2011 ... posted 48 catches for 621 yards and seven touchdowns to pace the squad in 2010 ... also returned 12 punts for 94 years, an average just shy of 8.0 ... was voted All-League, All-Area and All-CIF while serving as a big play threat for St. Bernard HS ... racked up 685 yards on 39 receptions (17.6 avg) while scoring a quartet of touchdowns as a senior ... also tallied two TDs in the ground game, finishing with 145 yards on 36 carries ... notched 40 catches for 637 yards with seven TDs in 2008 ... posted a pair of rushing touchdowns as a junior as well.
