2011 (JUNIOR): Key O-line reserve who made 11 appearances for UTEP.

2010 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in seven games while backing up at both guard positions ... playing time increased over the course of the season as the injury bug bit the offensive line.

2009 (FRESHMAN): Reserve guard played in three games.

2008: Redshirted ... earned a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll for posting a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Rated an area top-100 player by the Houston Chronicle ... first team All-District, All-Region and All-Area offensive tackle as a senior at Crosby High School ... second team All-District honoree as a junior ... also saw time at the defensive end spot during his prep career ... two-year varsity letterwinner for coach Kevin Flanigan ... helped Crosby High to 13 wins from 2005-06 ... basketball and track standout as well ... regional qualifier in the shot put and discus ... took eighth place in the shot put at the Junior Olympics and first place in the discuss at the Texas AAU Meet ... lettered in powerlifting as well ... also played in the band, including performing at halftime in his uniform for some games ... involved with student council, Hispanic Team Leadership and the FCA in high school ... honor roll student ... first team Academic All-District as a junior and senior, and chosen to the All-Region Academic Team as a senior.
