He left UTEP as the school's all-time receptions leader with 200 catches, and still holds that honor ... his 2,908 receiving yards rank second at the school, and he rates eighth all-time in all-purpose yards with 3,565 ... Mays' biggest season came as a junior, when he notched 70 receptions for 1,098 yards and an NCAA-best 15 touchdowns ... his efforts led UTEP to the 2000 WAC Championship and landed Mays honorable-mention All-America honors.
