Gary Hyman is in his second year as an offensive graduate assistant with the Miners. Hyman ventured to the Sun City after working as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at USC from January 2009 until April 2010. Prior to his stint with the Trojans, Hyman wore many hats in nine years as a member of the Delta College football staff. Hyman was a standout receiver at Humboldt State from 1994-96. He earned his bachelor's degree from Humboldt State in 2000 and completed work on a master's from Cal State Stanislaus in 2004.
