Nathan Jeffery ran for 73 yards and had a 61-yard touchdown reception, highlighting UTEP's first scrimmage of the spring on Friday in the Sun Bowl.
The Miners look to get back on the winning track this Saturday at Southern Miss, which has yet to taste victory this season.

2012 (JUNIOR): Made nine starts while playing in all 12 contests on the season ... compiled 38 tackles, including 14 solo stops ... second on the squad with seven tackles for losses (22 yards) and fourth with two sacks (14 yards) ... one of his sacks came against No. 4 Oklahoma ... credited with a trio of quarterback hurries, including two against SMU ... pitched in with a pair of pass break-ups ... established a career high with seven tackles against the Mustangs ... concluded the campaign with six tackles (four solo) versus Rice ... posted at least four tackles in five contests.
