2006 (JUNIOR): First team All-Conference USA selection by both the coaches and media ... started all 12 games at free safety ... ranked third on the team with 67 tackles ... led Conference USA with seven interceptions ... also had five pass break-ups, two quarterback pressures and two forced fumbles ... tied for fifth in the country in interceptions ... tied for fifth in Conference USA in pass break-ups and rated 30th in tackles ... two interceptions for 37 yards in the season opener at San Diego State, along with six tackles (five solo) ... also had two picks versus SMU ... broke up two passes against New Mexico State ... forced a fumble versus NMSU and at Marshall ... tallied a season-high nine tackles at Houston ... added eight stops versus Tulane and seven each in road games against New Mexico and Marshall ... averaged 23.9 yards on nine kickoff returns ... reached the end zone on a 91-yard kickoff return versus NMSU.

2005 (SOPHOMORE): Started all 12 games at free safety ... had seven or more tackles in seven out of 12 games ... fourth on the team with 78 tackles (47 solo) ... ranked 25th in C- USA in tackles ... led the Miners with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries ... returned four kicks for 66 yards (16.5 avg.) ... two interceptions -- including the game-winner in double overtime -- against Houston to go along with seven tackles and a pass break-up ... tied a career best with 13 tackles (nine solo) and a fumble recovery at Rice ... 11 stops (seven solo) at SMU ... six tackles and a 43-yard interception return against UAB.

2004 (FRESHMAN): Co-WAC Freshman of the Year ... named third team Freshman All-American by The Sporting News ... Freshman All-American by Scripps and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) ... honorable mention All-WAC ... earned WAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Nov. 6 after posting 13 tackles (nine solo) and forcing two fumbles in a double-overtime win against Rice ... fourth on the squad with 58 tackles (42 solo) ... one tackle for loss (two yards) ... also had two forced fumbles, a 52-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown, two interceptions for 73 yards (including a 42-yard TD against SMU), four pass break-ups and one blocked kick ... six tackles (five solo) against Colorado in the EV1.net Houston Bowl ... eight tackles against Arizona State and Boise State ... scored a touchdown on a fumble return against Boise State and picked off a pass for 30 yards against the Broncos ... also blocked a kick and defended a pass in that contest ... second forced fumble against Rice came in the second overtime to secure UTEP's 35-28 victory ... six stops, including a TFL against Hawaii ... started all 10 games he played in ... missed the San Jose State game with a hamstring injury.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Unanimous All-District 26-5A, All-Greater San Antonio and honorable mention All-State honoree as a senior ... second team All- District choice as a junior ... totaled 65 tackles and five interceptions (two for touchdowns) as a senior ... also picked up 10 receptions for 360 yards and three TDs, and averaged 40.5 yards on punts ... recorded 23 tackles and two picks as a junior ... split time at defensive back, wide receiver and punter as a senior ... played defensive back and wide receiver as a junior, and cornerback as a sophomore ... high school coach was Glenn Hill ... helped Roosevelt High School to a 16-6 record his last two years, including a district title in 2001 ... two-year letterwinner in track ... regional qualifier in the 100 as a junior, and a member of the 1,600 relay that advanced to State.
