2009 (JUNIOR): Started 11 of 12 games at center ... was on the field for 620 plays and posted 18 knockdowns ... graded out at 85 percent or better in three contests ... helped the Miners set a school record with 5,144 yards of offense and 428.7 yards per game ... UTEP rated 18th nationally in total offense, 20th in passing offense (277.6 ypg) and 35th in scoring offense (29.8 ppg) ... Donald Buckram set a school record by rushing for 1,594 yards and was one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award, presented to the nation's top running back ... Trevor Vittatoe threw for a personal-best 3,308 yards, including a school-record 517 in the season finale versus Marshall ...
