UTEP (23-13) hosts Oregon State (17-18) in the winner-take-all, game three of the CBI Championship Series on Friday at 8 p.m. MDT in El Paso.

Oregon State won game one, 75-69, on Monday in Corvallis. The Beavers led wire-to-wire and held off a late UTEP rally after building a 21-point lead with 14:30 to play.

UTEP evened the series with a 70-63 victory in game two on Wednesday at the Don Haskins Center.

Friday's game, like Wednesday's, is sold out. It marks the first back-to-back sellouts of Miner home games since Feb. 25, 2006 (versus Houston) and March 1, 2006 (versus Tulsa). Overall it is the 108th sellout of a UTEP game in the 12,000-seat arena, which opened in 1977.

HDNet will have national television coverage of Friday's game.

Several milestones are in reach for UTEP players in Friday's game. Stefon Jackson is 18 points shy of 900 for the season. Arnett Moultrie is five rebounds away from 300, and Julyan Stone needs three assists to break the school seasonal standard.
