In 2016-17 Anglin's work behind the scenes resulted in the Miners winning 13 of their final 17 games and tying for third place in Conference USA.

Anglin spent the previous three years as an assistant coach at the University of Louisiana Monroe. He helped the Warhawks to 44 victories over the last two seasons. Early in 2016, Anglin was one of 30 assistant coaches across the country named to the Under Armour 30-under-30 Team. The team is composed of the nation's brightest assistant coaches under the age of 30.

ULM advanced to the CBI Championship Series in 2015 with 24 wins, third-most in school history, and returned to the postseason with a berth in the tournament this year. ULM registered back-to-back seasons with 20+ wins for the first time since 1991 and for only the third time ever.

The 2015-16 squad was undefeated at home (13-0) and finished 15-5 in the Sun Belt (second place), advancing to the championship game of the league tournament for the first time in school history.

Junior Nick Coppola set a school record with 409 assists, while Majok Deng and Justin Roberson garnered first and second team All-Conference honors respectively. Roberson was chosen the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year. Three Warhawks garnered All-Conference honors over the last three years, including Tylor Ongwae in 2014 and 2015.

A Shreveport, La. native, Anglin played for two seasons at Northwestern State (2005-06, 2007-08) and two at LSU Shreveport (2008-10), where he helped the teams to a combined 91 victories and three conference titles. Anglin was on the 2005-06 Northwestern State squad that upset third-seeded Iowa in the NCAA Tournament.

Anglin received his Masters in Exercise Science from Louisiana Monroe in December of 2016.
