Miners Set to Launch 91st Season of Hoops

UTEP will take on 2011 NCAA Tournament participant UT San Antonio on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Haskins Center. Individual tickets start at $11.

The latest addition to the UTEP staff, John Anthony Anglin came aboard as Assistant Director of Basketball Operations for the 2011-12 season.

Anglin played two seasons at Northwestern State (2005-06, 2007-08) and two at LSU Shreveport (2008-10). He earned his degree in History from LSU Shreveport in 2010.

He helped Northwestern State to a 26-8 mark during the `05-'06 campaign, including a 64-63 upset of third-seeded Iowa in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He was a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree at LSU Shreveport.
