The squad is the only Conference USA school that is ranked in the top-25 in the national poll. The Miners have compiled a week total of 78.48 points, which secured them the No. 25 spot, once again.

Highlighting the men’s team is junior Mark Jackson, who registered the third-best mark in the nation in the triple jump at the 2013 Drake Relays. The jumper claimed the title at the meet with a personal best of 16.19m (53-01.50). The junior holds the top spot in the Conference USA rankings and also checks in at No. 8 in the school recordbook in the triple jump.
