Miners Concluded Day Three of Texas Relays

Austin, TexasJanice Jackson wrapped up Friday on a high note posting a fifth place finish in the 100m hurdles advancing her to the finals at the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

The All-American registered a time of 13.19 with a wind of 1.2. Jackson beat 75 hurdlers qualifying her for the final on Saturday at 1:25 p.m. (MT).

Also competing in the 100m hurdles was Anna-Kay James. The junior-transfer recorded a time of 13.76 to place 20th overall.

On the field, the Orange and Blue was represented by Nickevea Wilson. The All-American delivered a leap of 12.65m (41-6) in the women’s triple jump. The junior finished eighth.

Turning to the men, the distance medley relay took second with a time of 9:39.51. The squad consisted of Cosmas Boit, James Bias, Daniel Tarango, and Abiola Onakoya.

Roberto Camacho followed in the 400m finals. The junior transfer crossed the finish line sixth with a time of 52.06. Camacho is currently ranked sixth in the event.

Representing the men on the field was Carlos Hernandez. The El Paso Native recorded a jump of 2.05m (6-8.75).
