Abinuwa Named Second Team All-American

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Endurance Abinuwa has earned 2012 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association second team All-American honors.
The senior participated in the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships clocking in a time of 54.50 in the women’s 400m. The All-American posted a season-best of 53.33 in the 400m at the 2012 Texas A&M Invitational taking gold in the event.
The USTFCCCA announces the 272 men and 262 women that earned either first-team or second-team USTFCCCA All-America distinctions for the 2012 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field season.
A total of 649 awards will be given as a result of performances at the past weekend’s NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Nampa, Idaho. In addition, 36 individuals receive honorable mention for their participation in the championships.
The Miners will open the outdoor season at Kidd Field on Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m. (MT) with the women’s hammer throw.
