Miners Open Season at the Cherry and Silver Invitational

The UTEP track and field team will open the indoor season at the Cherry and Silver Invitational.

High School: Named to the 2012 El Paso Times' All-City Track and Field first team ... clocked in a personal-best of 14.4 in the 110m hurdles two weeks before 2012 District Championships ... took bronze in the 300m hurdles at the Class 4A State meet with a time of 37.76 ... won two district titles in the 300m hurdles and one title in the 110 hurdles ... qualified for three regional meets while at Parkland High School ... earned All-City second team honors in 2011 ... finished first at the 2012 USATF Junior Olympic Championships in the 400m hurdles crossing the finish line with a time of 55.26.
