UTEP Athletics Honors Risper Kimaiyo (Cross Country) & Jordan Leslie (Football)

2011: Indoor: Took gold in the mile run (4:52.23), gold in the 5,000m run (16:15.98) and bronze in the 3,000m run (9:33.17) at the Conference USA Championships ... finished second in the 5,000m run at the Columbia Last Chance clocking in a time of 15:59.56 ... crossed the finish line seventh in the 5,000m at the 2011 Indoor Championships posting a time of 16:13.55 earning All-American honors.

Outdoor: Finished in second-place in the 5,000m run at the Conference USA Championships with a time of 16:48.07 ... posted a season-best time of 16:27.10 in the 5,000m at the NCAA West Preliminary ... took first-place at Texas Relays recording a time of 16:36.20 in the 5,000m ... clocked in a time of 4:27.15 in the 1,500m run at the C-USA Championships.

2010 (Sophomore): Indoor:Set a new school record in the 5,000m posting a NCAA provisional time of 16:24.57 at the Conference USA Championships taking silver in the event ... claimed the Conference USA 3,000m crown with a NCAA provisional time of 9:34.99 that ranks fifth all-time in the UTEP record books ... top finisher in the in the 3,000m run when she competed at the Texas Tech Invitational, 10:08.69, and at the Frank Sevigne Invitational, 9:47.84.

Outdoor: Garnered her first track and field USTFCCCA All-America honors with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000m run at the NCAA Championships crossing the finish line at 16:06.26 ... her season-best 5,000m time of 16:00.67 recorded at the Payton Jordan Invitational ranks third in school history ... had two silver finishes at the C-USA Championships including in the 1,500m race where her time of 4:22.59 went in the UTEP record books as the eighth best of all time ... the other second-place finish came in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:21.68 ... claimed the 5,000m titles at the Texas Relays (16:53.79) and at the Drake Relays (16:39.43) ... was the top finisher in the 1,500m at the Springtime Invitational (4:38.67) and at the UTEP Invitational (4:36.22).

2009 (Freshman): Indoor:
Clocked in a time of 10:26.24 for 11th place in the 3,000m at the Frank Sevigne Invitational ... fifth in the mile at the Texas A&M Invitational with a time of 5:14.47 ... improved her time in the mile to 5:09.03 at the Conference USA Championships for 15th.

Outdoor: Finished fourth in the 1,500m, 4:46.73, at the Springtime Invitational ... posted a time of 4:45.42 in the 1,500m for fourth at Texas Relays ... second at the UTEP Invitational with a time of 4:50.79 in the 1,500 meters ... took fourth in the steeplechase with a NCAA regional time of 10:37.54 and seventh in the 5,000 meters at the Conference USA Championships ... 11th at the Midwest Regional's steeplechase, 10:38.04.

Before UTEP:
Was a three-time district and province champion in the 3,000-meter run...memeber of the math club at the Sing'ore Secondary School in Iten, Kenya.
