Seniors Abinuwa and Dudley were named the C-USA Athletes of the Week

2012: Indoor: Took gold in the Blue and Orange Opener in shot put with a career-best distance of 16.25m ... posted a distance of 16.83m in the men's shot put at the Conference USA Championship.

Outdoor: Ranked 61st in the nation in the discus with a personal-best of 53.78m in posted at the Texas Tech Red Raider Open ... Competed at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships in the men's discus and finished 27th overall ... finished fourth at the C-USA Championships in the men's discus ... Claimed gold in discuss with a distance of 51.38m at the Don Kirby Invitational ... took third place at the UTEP Springtime in discus throw ... posted a throw of 15.37m in shot put at the C-USA Championships.

Before UTEP: 2009 (Houston): Indoor: Began the season with a second-place finish in the shot put at the Texas A&M Opener with a mark of 15.77m (51-09) ... also finished second at the Leonard Hilton Memorial, throwing a distance of 15.70m (51-06.25) ... placed sixth at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Invitational (15.32m/50-03.25) and the Houston Indoor Invitational (15.80m/51-10) in the shot put ... set a personal record of 15.91m (52-02.5) at the C-USA Championships.
