The UTEP Athletics Department allows area auto dealers and donors the opportunity to directly impact the success of the UTEP athletics program and to promote and enhance its sports program through recruiting, scouting and public relations. Courtesy Car Program member can also assist the department in attracting and retaining quality coaches and athletics personnel by providing a personal benefit for them common to most NCAA Division I athletic programs.
The Courtesy Car Program is under the supervision and coordination of the Associate Athletics Director for Development. The dealer or donor will work directly with assigned coach or staff members, who fully realize the value of the contribution of a vehicle. The success of the Courtesy Car Program is dependent on the personal relationship between the athletic department's assigned coach or staff member and the dealer or donor. Drivers of Courtesy vehicles are responsible for insurance, title/registration and routine maintenance.
The Courtesy Car Program is of great importance to UTEP and the Athletics Department both in terms of cost and convenience. Participating dealers and donors are held in high esteem for their generous contribution to the athletics department.
The Courtesy Car program allows area car dealers to become members of the Miner Athletic Club by donating a vehicle to the Department of Athletics, while in return receiving a great benefit package that includes tremendous visibility as a supporter of the Miners. Each member of the Courtesy Car program receives special exclusive benefits including:
