An Evening with Tony Dungy Raises money for Student Athlete Scholarships

Motivational speaker and retired NFL coach Tony Dungy will speak about his experiences as a coach and his philosophy in life as UTEP Athletics presents `An Evening with Coach Dungy'.

The Miner Athletic Club was able to raise over $100,000 to help offset the $4 million dollars that are needed to fund the scholarships for our almost 300 student-athletes. We would like to thank all of the sponsors of this great event. Without their support we would not be able to have had such a successful event.

	The event kicked off with a VIP Dinner with Coach Dungy and sponsors of the event. The dinner also had a silent and live auction with various items donated by local businesses. Some of the auction items included an away game trip with the football team and a trip to the 2011 final four in Houston, TX.

	After the dinner concluded the speaking engagement began at the Haskins Center where Coach Dungy spoke to over 2,5000 in attendance about many different aspects in his life and how they got him to where he is today. The Miner Athletic Club would like to thank everyone who attended this great event as well as our sponsors for their gracious support of the event.
