Chisan Jones came to UTEP in 2009 as a graduate assistant. In 2011, he was hired as a full-time assistant. During his time as a graduate assistant Jones was directly responsible for cheerleading while assisting with football, volleyball, tennis, softball, and soccer. Now, as an assistant, he will be directly responsible for the program design and implementation of soccer and softball, as well as assisting with football.
Prior to UTEP, Jones worked at Texas State University from 2005 through 2008. During his time at Texas State, Jones served as a student assistant strength and conditioning coach
Chisan Jones earned a bachelors degree in Exercise and Sports Science with teacher certification and a minor in Sports Psychology from Texas State University in 2008. He will also graduate with a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership in December 2011. He is certified by USA Weightlifting as a Sports Performance Coach.
