Brandon Burris joined the UTEP family in July 2009. His primary responsibility is to the health care and injury prevention for the women's basketball team, as well as oversight of women's soccer.
Burris previously worked at the University of Tulsa, where his responsibilities included working with the volleyball and tennis teams for the 2008 & 2009 seasons.
Burris spent two years as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Alabama- Birmingham. His primary responsibility was working with the football team.
Prior to UAB, Burris was a student athletic trainer at the University of Tulsa. While at Tulsa, he worked with the football, men's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and crew team. Burris also did athletic training with the Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center and at Union High School. Additionally, he served as an intern for the Tulsa 66ers, a local NBA Development League team.
Burris earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Tulsa, as well as earned his master's degree in exercise physiology from University of Alabama - Birmingham.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
