Konner Tucker, Men's Basketball
Konner Tucker scored 11 points to help lead the UTEP men's basketball team to a 70-63 exhibition victory victory over Southeastern Oklahoma State on Nov. 3 at the Don Haskins Center. Tucker made 3-of-5 three point shots and both of his free throw attempts before leaving the game with an injury.
Jeane Horton, Volleyball
Jeane Horton has proven to be a force to be reckoned with on the court, as she led UTEP's attack recording her fifth 20 or more kill performance of the season as the Miners defeated top-ranked Tulsa, 3-2. The junior hammered 22 kills and posted a career-high nine blocks (1s/8a) against the Golden Hurricane. The outside hitter also helped UTEP defeat SMU with 12 kills, four digs, three service aces and two block assists. Horton has compiled 418 kills this season not only surpassing her single season total, but also earning her the No.2 spot in the UTEP recordbook for total kills registered in a season. She is ranks third in Conference USA in the category. UTEP is now 7-1 at home against Conference USA opponents.
