She had a stellar showing leading the Miners to a 3-2 victory over Houston. The Fresno, Calif. native hammered a career-high 25 kills on 57 attempts with only seven errors for a hitting efficiency of .316 and added four block assists in the win against the Cougars. The sophomore posted 10 kills and added one block assists against Rice to open the weekend. Her offensive performance moved her up to second on the squad in kills as she registered a team-best 4.38 kills per set. This is the second straight week that Horton has tallied 20 or more kills in a match.
Ian Campbell Football
The nation's leading punter, Ian Campbell averaged 46.9 yards on seven punts in UTEP's game against Southern Miss on Saturday. Campbell racked up 328 yards in punting including two inside the 20-yard line - one that was downed on the Golden Eagles' 2-yard line. The California native belted two punts over 50 yards, including a 59-yard kick that landed on USM's 3-yard line. In total, Campbell has registered 12 punts over 50 yards and 10 inside the 20.
