Risper Kimaiyo - Cross Country
She turned in a great performance to claim the crown for the second consecutive year in the Pre-National Invitational. The All-American crossed the finish line with a time of 20:19 in the 6K race, marking her fourth first-place finish of the season. Kimaiyo led the UTEP women to a team finish of 27th among 40 of the nation's top squads.
Dakota Warren - Football
He made three field goals and was a perfect 5-of-5 in PATs as the Miners defeated Tulane, 44-7, on Saturday, snapping a 12-game C-USA road losing streak. Warren's field goals included 42-yard and 41-yard attempts. Warren has made four straight field goals and seven of his last 10. He connected on three field goals each versus NM State and Tulane. The Austin, Texas native ranks tied for 21st nationally and first in C-USA in field goals made (1.5 avg), first in the league in field goal percentage (.600) and is tied for first in PATs made (1.000).
