Autrey Golden Football
Autrey Golden tied three other players for the longest kickoff return in school history (100 yards) in the first quarter against UTSA. The other players with 100-yard returns -- Cedrick Johnson at New Mexico in 1996, Howard Jackson versus Nevada in 2001 and Marlon McClure at Arkansas in 2010.

Golden has three kickoff returns of 96 yards or more in his young UTEP career. He is the only player in school history to achieve that distinction. He had a 98-yarder at Southern Miss and a 96-yarder at East Carolina last season.

Golden moved into eighth place on UTEP's career kickoff return list with 1,079 yards. Jahmal Fenner (2001-04) is in seventh place with 1,147 yards.

Golden has had over 100 yards on kickoff returns in two of three games this season and in five of 15 as Miner.

Angela Cutaia Soccer
Sophomore Angela Cutaia contributed a game-winning goal & an assist over the weekend to help the UTEP soccer team post a pair of road victories. Cutaia scored with 43 seconds remaining in regulation to lift UTEP past homestanding and previously unbeaten Northern Arizona, 4-3, in front of 704 rabid Lumberjack fans on Sept. 20.

In the 2-1 triumph at Southern Utah on Sept. 22, Cutaia played a beautiful cross to Azia Nicholson for the game-tying goal at 35:53. The eventual outcome marked the Miners' school-record-setting fourth straight road win.

The efforts continued a quality campaign for Cutaia, who is tied for second on the team in both goals (three) and points (eight). She has also pitched in with a pair of assists.
