EL PASO, TEXAS- UTEP Rifle team member Hannah Muegge was among 12 honorees that Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced for the Winter C-USA Spirit of Service award Friday. The award is given to the student-athletes who donate their time in the community, have a high academic standing and excel in their respective sport.

When Muegge is away from the classroom and rifle range, she finds time to spend in the community. She volunteers at the West Texas Food Bank, the Child Crisis Center of El Paso and Candlelighters of El Paso.

As a freshman accounting major she was nominated to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. She participated in all 12 of UTEP's matches in 2010-11 and set career highs in air and smallbore rifles against Nevada during the regular season.
