Julian Washburn, Men's Basketball
Julian Washburn extended his double-digit scoring streak to seven, a career long, with two solid performances. Washburn averaged 13.5 points and 5.5 rebounds and 34 minutes in the games at Houston and against UCF. He drilled 11-of-19 shots from the floor, including 2-of-5 from three-point range. Washburn hit 3-of-4 free throws. He was aggressive offensively, but did so without committing any turnovers. It marked the first time of his career that he played consecutive contests without any giveaways.
Anete Steinberga Women's Basketball
Anete Steinberga averaged 19.5 points & 7.5 rebounds in a pair of road games. The senior connected on 50.0 percent of her shots, going 8-of-16 from the floor against both Marshall and UCF. Steinberga also hit her free throws, sinking 7-of-10 tries. In the overtime loss at UCF, Steinberga posted a double-double (18 points, 11 boards). She registered 21 points in the setback at Marshall, while also dishing out four assists and grabbing a quartet of rebounds.
