Cosmas Boit, Men's Track & Field Cosmas Boit opened the Texas A&M Invitational with the distance medley relay. He ran the first leg of the race (1200m) creating a substantial lead for the Miners as he posted a time of 2.58. UTEP keep the lead and placed first in the relay with a mark of 9.37.31. The squad's time is the third fastest in Miner history and currently ranks them seventh in the nation and first in Conference USA. On the second day of the invitational Boit continued his success as he captured the crown in the mile run. The freshman led the race from start to finish as he posted a time of 4:04.39. Boit's performance ranks him second in C-USA.
Nickevea Wilson Women's Track & Field Nickevea Wilson captured the crown in the triple jump as she registered a mark of 12.79m at the Texas A&M Invitational. The sophomore did not post any fouls and all her jumps were consistent. Placing first out of 13 jumpers, Wilson out jumped second place by .56m. She currently ranks 10th nationally and first in C-USA for her performance of 12.89 at the UNM Cherry & Silver Invitational.
