11/3/14Gloria Brown Women's Basketball Gloria Brown played a big role in leading the Miners to a pair of wins during the week. In the first game of the week at Southern Miss, Brown posted a monstrous double-double to deliver the 300th career win for head coach Keitha Adams. Brown poured in a career high 27 points, aided by making a school-record 17 free throws, while grabbing the second-most rebounds (19) in program history. She tied the program standard for free throws attempted (19) while blocking four shots and registering three assists. She then followed that effort up by filling up the stat sheet in the win against UCF. She compiled five points, six blocks and seven rebounds in only 17 minutes of action.
John Bohannon Men's Basketball John Bohannon posted his fourth double-double in the last eight games with 17 points and 13 rebounds in the Miners' lone contest of the week at Houston on Jan. 28. He hit 6-of-9 from the floor while also making 5-of-8 at the charity stripe. He had a clutch basket to tie it late and force OT, but UTEP ultimately fell in the extra session. Bohannon also added a pair of assists while blocking a shot in 38 minutes of action.
