Promotional Activities

NCAA Bylaw permits a charitable or educational group to use a student-athlete's name, picture or appearance to support a charitable event, provided the student-athlete receives approval prior to the event, the student-athlete does not miss class, and the student-athlete and an authorized representative of the charitable or educational agency sign a release statement ensuring that the student-athlete's name, picture or appearance is used in a manner consistent with the requirements of NCAA legislation.

In order to participate in a promotional activity, a Promotional Activities Form must be completed and approved prior to the event taking place. Participating in an event without prior approval by the Compliance Office could jeopardize student-athletes' eligibility.
